Hermit has a new home!

The switch was made to make room for the new ADAMSALASEK.COM, which will soon come to being and will link to each of my short films I shoot… and if all goes to plan… the features I will start shooting. So please enjoy, the site is the same as when it was on adamsalasek.com, but will now permanently live at its new home.

Finally! Hermit the site is done, online, and the email is being sent as we speak! Exciting… Hopefully everybody enjoys the site, and hopefully I get enough interest in having a screening so that it isn't just me an 2 other people who get together! Anyways, the site is done, I now am going to move on and finish Flat Tire.

I have come upon the final steps in the process. I am almost done, and the time is nearly upon us to be officially live. I need to link the trailer button from the first page, and I need to write/rewrite entries for the letter from the director, about the story, and about the process.
That’s it. Hopefully I can write those entries today, and get Chris to help me link the button. As soon as that happens, the site will be emailed to everybody!

Hermit’s website is almost done! There are only a few more things that need to do before I go live with it and send links to everybody.
1. I need to get the trailer link on the home page to link to the trailer page. I may need Chris’s help for that.
2. I need to spend some time on the Home page… specifically adding a photo, and re-writing the letter from the director. I like the idea of a letter from me, but I need to spend some time thinking about what I want to say and how I want to say it.
3. I need to workon the about page. It is very plain and dull right now. I would like to add more information… about the story, about the filmmaker, and about the process. Perhaps nested pages? Maybe maybe not… I wil have to test it and see how it looks.
4. One last go-through on overall style and color choice. I think it is looking pretty good now, but it might be nice to make it even better.
5. One last browser compatibility pass-through. As of now, I spent a lot of time working on browser compatability… And it looks much better because of it. Now I just need to make sure everything is good before I officially call it complete.
That’s it… once I am done with these 5 short things, I will email the link to verybody, and start prepping the film for festival entry!

Hello!
The Hermit website is moving along quite nicely!
There are a few things I still plan on doing before I will consider it completel…
1. Look for potentially better video players. The current one is very basic. In the end, I may choose to keep it for its simplicity, but for now, I think I will look into fancier palyers.
2. Photos. Same deal as the movies. The current set-up is pretty tight, but I would like to spend some time looking through other options.
3. Home page / Blog Page. I need to decide how I want this to work… then do it! I have made a lot of progress on it so far… I have figured out how to get the blog posts to automatically chop off after a certain point… making you go to the actual blog page to finish… but right now the blog page and home page are the same. I want the blog page to be all the blog entries, and the home page to have a lot of information… synopsis, random facts, and a smaller, condensed recent blog entry section. This I still have to figure out.
4. Colors. I need to really decide on the color scheme and go with it. I like the Earth-tones I currently have as Hermit is an Earth-tone movie… but any of the tan text on the white background is illegible. I need to think about how to improve that.
That’s it for now… I should have this all figured out within the next day or 2.
